Here is a picture that a friend sent to me of a book case at the Tommy Douglas library. I’m in some pretty interesting company there, but then again, these feel like pretty interesting times.
Gino (aka the Old Man aka Gerald Dodein) loved bad news because he thought hard times brought people that much closer to the revolution. And he said he’d rather deal with a straight up racist and a hypocritical liberal any day. So I guess he’d be pleased about this election.
I heard Wanda Sykes was booed when she said ’guys look on the bright side … it’s going to be OK, I am certain this is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president. He’s just the first confirmed one.”
So the bright side. In this harsh light shining on the things so many people knew all along were there. This is where we live now.
