A story years in the making finally finds a home

Desire Eclipse Memory is about a time in my mid-twenties when i was working at one of Montreal’s more notorious restaurants and teetering on the edge of addiction and crisis. It’s a story I’ve ¬†been playing around with for literally decades so I was surprised and thrilled when it won Subterrain‘s 2018 Lush Triumphant Creative Non-Fiction contest. Issue #81 is beautiful and filled with so much other great work. A very satisfying ending for a little piece that took a long and winding journey to publication.
