Join Sonja Larsen for a rustic solar-powered week of creative time and inspiration on Howe Sound. Sleeping cabin with private bathroom and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for writing. Local & healthy food provided. Located on Gambier Island, the retreat is just 20 minutes away from Horseshoe Bay. 

What to expect:

Comfortable glamping with good food and good company.Located near Halkett Bay provincial park, lots of mountain and ocean views. There is electricity and cell access but no wi-fi.

Water taxi (not included) can be booked from Horseshoe Bay and is between $30-40 each way. Full details on transportation will be emailed to you when you book.

Sonja Larsen is an award-winning author whose memoir Red Star Tattoo was shortlisted for the Writers Trust Hilary Weston award and won the Edna Staebler Creative Non Fiction award. Her creative non fiction won the 2018 Subterrain Lush Triumphant prize. Her work has also appeared in a variety of publications including Room, Descant, This Magazine, and the Globe and Mail.
