About me

As a child I went to nearly a dozen different schools and lived in several communes and a cult. A childhood weird enough to write a book about. As an adult I’ve  worked as a telephone solicitor, bartender, freelance writer, teacher, and youth worker in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. I’ve always had lots of stories, but I haven’t always been brave enough to tell them. I decided to write seriously at 40 and published Red Star Tattoo at fifty. If you want to talk about hippie kids, teenage radicals, writing memoir or being a late bloomer then I might be your gal.

I work in a community centre where I am a youth worker and accidental techie.
